First Dip in the Water...

I've deliberated, I've dawdled, I've stared blankly at the screen and I've made excuses - 'It won't be any good!', 'I don't know what to write about!', 'I can't, I have to feed the cat!' - but today is the day.

I'm taking the plunge and finally starting my own blog.

'The Fashion Wallflower' might seem like an odd name for a fashion blog, after all fashion is about expressing yourself and standing out from the crowd, but it perfectly sums me up. I love clothes, beauty and fashion, but I'm - gulp - afraid of looking silly! You know those girls, we've all seen them, who take so many fashion risks and push the boundaries so far that you can't quite work out of they're supposed to be wearing a t-shirt as a skirt or a lampshade as a hat, and I do not want that to be me. So, instead, I play it safe. And I want that to change. So this blog is going to be me diving head first into beauty and fashion, pushing my own fashion boundaries as far as I can and putting myself completely on show in this blog. So at least if I do make a fool of myself, I'll at least give you lovely readers a laugh! Wish me luck...

That's it for now, just a short post, but what matters is that I've done it... I've written my first blog post! If you're still reading my drivel, thank you very much for the patience and please feel free to leave any comments and suggestions - I'm going to need all the help I can get!
